Homemade OREOS!

Taija is my new little helper in the kitchen...she LOVES to make cookies. We made some homemade oreos the other day to take to one of my visiting teaching sisters who had a birthday.

Playing at the Beach...TWICE in a week

Last week we were able to go to the beach...TWICE! On Wednesday we went to the beach with some friends from church. Taija had so much fun playing with Ella and Emma. Justin was at work, so I was very hesitant to drag both kids out to Pompano Beach, but Krista (who recently moved here) agreed to tag along to help. Good thing too! Taija wanted to be in the water at all times, but Luke had to hang out in his pack-n-play.




On Saturday Daddy got to come with us! Yay!

Last week one of Taija's BFFs had a birthday party! Taija was so excited to go and would ask each day if it was Saturday and time for Ella's party. FINALLY the day came!

MaMa's Visit

Last week we were very lucky to have Justin's Grandma come visit us...Mama stayed for just over a week. It was fabulous, especially since I left for 5 days to officiate a volleyball tournament in Atlanta. You wouldn't believe that she is over 80 yrs old....she took us shopping, tended the kids during Justin's orientation (with just a bit of help from some of Taija's friends), played with the kiddos, helped pick up the house and much much more. Thanks Mama for such a wonderful visit! I am glad that Taija and Luke were able to get to know their Great Grandma!

Cute Kids

I decided to add some pictures of my kids...just because I think they are cute. And I might need a little reminder these days of how cute they are (the past 4 nights Luke has decided he doesn't like sleeping by himself, last week Taija was sick and threw up all over her bed the worst part being that she went back to sleep in it, but things are bound to get better...right?).
On a side note my mom came to visit us for a few days, but being the horrible photographer I am I didn't take any pics! And in 5 days I am flying off for an officiating trip to Atlanta and leaving the kids with Justin! Yay for a mini vacation!

The other day I decided to take the kids to the park...it just so happened that it was about a 100 degrees outside!

Day at the Beach with Fam

The other day my Auntie Natalie and her family came to visit for the day! They spent a week at the parks up in Orlando then came down to hang out with us. We had a wonderful day at the beach and then they were so kind to treat us to dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe. We LOVE when family come to visit! Taija became so obsessed with David, which was so funny cuz David is the baby of his family so he wasn't too sure about his little shadow!

Pa and Grammy come to visit

On their way back from the Cayman Islands the whole gang stopped back by our place for one evening! Taija and Luke LOVED all the extra attention. Pa and Grammy stayed through the end of the week and Taija was in heaven! She loves her Pa! We rented a beach house right on Hollywood Beach and it was awesome! I didn't take enough pics, but here are a few of the kiddos playing with Pa!




Did I mention Luke is climbing on EVERYTHING! He has figured out how to pull himself up onto just about everything and anything, but here's the catch...he hasn't quite figured out how to let go gracefully! Yesterday he was army crawling around and I turned away for literally 10 seconds and he had climbed up 3 of the stairs! The little monkey!!

Fun in the POOL

Taija loves playing in the pool, especially when it's with DADDY! With his board exams coming up Justin has been studying ALOT, but he has been so good with Taija taking her on little Daddy-Daughter dates to the pool. Sometimes Luke and I come a little later and crash their party!

Uncle Dot

Uncle Scott and Auntie Kate came by for an overnighter on their way to their super fun vacation to the Cayman Islands...it was Uncle Scott's birthday so we made him a cake and sang the birthday song. Taija loved hanging out with her Uncle Dot, she made him a bed and he read her stories!

Last Day of SOCCERTOTS

Last saturday was Taija's last day of soccertots...she has loved going and will definitely miss it. We are currently looking for another summer program to sign up for...any suggestions??? Coach Cindy was really cute with the kids - they had to kick one last goal in order to get the medal.

Taija Ane - 2 1/2 yrs old

Luke William - 6 months

6 MONTHS!

I can't believe my baby boy is already 6 months! It seems like time is going by way too fast! Luke is such a happy, care-free baby. He really does just go with the flow...poor boy gets dragged around a lot to all of Taija's activities!

17 lbs. 14 oz.
27.5 inches long

- LOVES to motor around (not quite crawling, but so darn close)
- little turkey won't sit up on his own (I have been working on this, but he would rather tip over and scoot around)
- LOVES to eat his solid foods, haven't found one he doesn't like
- will just sit and watch his sister bounce around the room
- likes to watch tv (I couldn't get Taija to sit and watch tv until around 18 months)
- cutest smile EVER! loves to giggle with anyone who will giggle with him
- loves to be held, will seriuosly just chill on your lap if he has something to chew on
- no teeth yet, but I think he has some coming in

Jumpers

The other day I took Taija and Luke to Jumpers...a cute place with a bunch of blow-up toys! We met up with some friends to celebrate a birthday and Taija had a BLAST!
