Pompano Beach House

We spent a week at the Beach House and it was AWESOME!  We spent a week here last summer and Pa decided he wanted to catch one last week here before we moved north.  It was the best week at the beach!!!  Although it rained our last full day here we got some much needed R&R before moving.  The kids LOVED the pool and spending one on one time with Grammy and Pa.  Auntie Kate and Uncle Scott even joined us for an extended weekend.

Mothers Day Luncheon 2013

The Yamashita Family Mothers Day Luncheon is an annual event that we usually miss, but we were so excited that we could be there this year.  My Aunt Mitzie is so gracious to host/cook for everyone.  Anytime we visit Utah we try to get together with all of my cousins on my mothers side.  As the family continues to grow it's fun to catch up with everyone and their families.  I think the count at this gathering was 6 grandparents, 12 parents/cousins, 7 grandkids and 1 on the way.   

Utah Hogle Zoo

Nana has a grandparents pass at the Hogle Zoo so we made sure to include it in our plans.  We love visiting this zoo as the elephants, tigers, and Rocky Shores are always a big hit.  We enjoyed spending more time with the Nagelis.

Utah Trip Continued

So I am just barely getting around to blogging about the last part of our Utah trip

These pics are from our wonderful playdate at the Kangaroo Zoo in North Salt Lake.  We had so much fun with the McKnights and the Nagelis.  Luke and Oakley were the cutest buddies.  Luke was having a hard time climbing up some of the steps to the larger slides mainly because he was a little slow and some of the bigger kids would try to go around him and he would lose his grip and slip down.  One time Luke was following Oakley up and a bigger kid try to do that and Oakley made it clear that the big kid needed to wait until Luke made it up.  It was so cute!  Such an awesome friend - thanks Oakley for lookin out for Luke!

We were also able to spend some much needed time with our friends the Call Family.  Our kids LOVED hanging out at their house.  Luke was so excited since FINALLY we met up with some of his 'guy' friends.  Him and Johnny are awesome buddies.  We were even lucky enough to time it just right - Baby Luke was home from the hospital for our playdates.  We sure do wish we could live closer to all of our BFFs.  I think this was the first visit that the girls actually played together.  Sophie and Taija are so funny - they usually do their own thing, but not this time.  Imaginations are a glorious thing!  Sadly I was too busy talking and having some BFF bonding time of my own that not many pictures were taken.  But of course we have to take the yearly proof of these two love-birds; destined to unite the Call and Robison family through marriage.

Utah Trip 2013

Thanks to everyone for a wonderful time camping!  Little bummed that the weather didn't cooperate for a camp fire the last night - a crazy wind storm passed through!!

Zoo of Miami

We decided since we would be leaving soon and our Annual pass was still good we would go to the Zoo of Miami one last time.  The kids had so much fun and were such troopers.  It was a LONG day of riding in the car as our plans kept changing.
