Miss Mika

I thought I would do a post just about my little Mika...she is 10 weeks today! Time sure has flown by! Mika is such a wonderful baby! She is already sleeping 8-10 hours every night, she is a tummy sleeper (I know, I know you aren't supposed to let them sleep on their tummy, but its the only way she likes to sleep), she has light grey eyes and I am hoping they stay a lighter color (Pa has blue eyes and Grandpa has green) since both Luke and Taija have dark brown eyes. I love her so much and she is so patient with her older siblings, enduring all of Taija's hugs and Luke's occasional kiss. Here are a few pics of Miss Mika

Mika's Blessing

This past Sunday we were able to give Mika her blessing! I can't express how grateful I am that my wonderful husband has the priesthood and is worthy to give our children their baby blessings. Mika looked beautiful in her blessing gown, it was the same one Taija was blessed in, made by my wonderful Auntie Janet out of the same material as my wedding dress. Although none of our family could be out here for the event we were surrounded by some of our best friends: Egglestons (Darek, Megan, Ellie, and Bree); the Talbots (Richard, Jill, and baby Avery); and the Larsens (Blair, Katrina, and Ella). It is amazing to see how much our family has grown and how fast. It seems like just the other day that Taija was born and we were first-time parents just trying to survive. And while not much changes, still trying to figure out the key to survival, the addition of Luke and Mika make parenthood all that much more exciting!

Happenings in May

Last week was a pretty busy week...on Monday was Mika's 2 month appt, complete with shots! Later that day Taija had her recital pictures! She had to have her hair in a high pony with the flower thing in it, for those of you who know her hair it doesn't go in one ponytail EVER! So after many bobby pins and A LOT of hairspray we were ready!

The little stinker was so excited about everything else going on she wouldn't even look at me!

On Tuesday we went to the splash park! Of course it rained while we were there!

There was ONE burst of thunder and since Taija is TERRIFIED of it she spent most of the time under the pavilion with the moms

Justin's Birthday

Justin had a birthday shout Hooray! Taija LOVES when someone is having a birthday...more so she loves helping me make the cake! For Justin's birthday we had Papa Johns pizza (his favorite next to McDonalds) and watched the movie we got him (Madagascar 1 & 2) complete with popcorn!

Gotta LOVE the beach

Justin FINALLY had another Saturday off so where else would you spend the day in South Florida....the BEACH! Our kids LOVE the beach!

Pa and the LEVY

Pa has been here for the last week helping out with the kiddos! Taija and Luke LOVE when Pa visits...and even Mika warmed up to him! One of Pa's favorite things to do is take Taija to the levy. This time I sent Justin with them to document what it is they do there...

EASTER 2012

This year Easter was so much fun with the kiddos! Both Taija and Luke LOVED going through their baskets...Luke didn't really understand the whole FIND the egg concept, but enjoyed eating the candy.

BEACH DAY with Grammy and Kate

Grammy and Kate's vacation out here overlapped by two days...so naturally one of them had to be spent at the beach! It was Mika's 1st time at the beach! Of course her being a Floridian she LOVED it!

Swim Lessons with Auntie Kate

While Auntie Kate was here she took the kiddos to swim lessons! Luke LOVES the water and showed Kate how it's done. Taija is our little fish and has done so well in her lessons!

Mika Kate Robison (pronounced Meek-ah) was born at 1 pm today. 7 lbs 11 oz. Mommy and baby are doing wonderfully well.

Splash Park 2012

We were frequent visitors of this cute splash park last year...but sadly I haven't taken the kiddos since Luke was just a newborn. Yesterday I decided to change that!! We hit it just right! It had been raining most of the morning, but being the observant mom that I am didn't pay much attention to it until I was walking both kids out the door. To prevent an absolute meltdown I told Taija we would drive over there, but if it were raining we couldn't get out of the car. Lucky for us we got a solid hour and a half of no rainclouds! We were the only ones at the park for a good 45 minutes!

My BIG Girl

We haven't been the best about getting Taija to ride her BIG bike...she usually asks to take her little one and since it's easier for us we let her. Well, all that has changed! Taija is a PRO at her big bike. It took her a bit to figure out she couldn't peddle backwards since that was her brake, but she now has it down!




*And I just need to give a shout out to the WORLD'S BEST DAD! Justin puts in long days at the hospital/clinic, but when he gets home it's all about playtime with the kids! As you can see they LOVE playing outside with Dad and Justin constantly amazes me with his desire to spend time with us! Most days he has to put in a few hours of study time after the kiddos go to bed, but he always makes sure while they are awake they have his undivided attention! LOVE you babe!

Beach Day

Finally we were able to have another beach day...it's been almost 2 months since the last time we went!! It was perfect! Luke and Taija LOVED playing in the water, although by the end they were my little popsicles!

Daddy Playtime

The other day we let Taija pick out a special treat...and she picked popcorn! Which happens to be one of Justin's favorite treats. So, every so often right before bed we have a bit of bonding time with daddy as both my kids LOVE popcorn

Valentines Day and Playdates

Earlier this week we were able to get out and enjoy some cooler weather (upper 60s) at the park with some friends. Taija and Luke LOVE playing at the park!



Yesterday being Valentines Day we had a very special preschool day with Taija's friends Ella and Ellie.


And for my Valentines gift Justin made up some cute little cut outs of the kiddos' hands with pictures of them doing there 'Love you THIS much' and squeeze with kisses...here are the pics he used!
