Splash pool fun
We have learned that pools here in Delaware are hard to come by. You have to buy a membership into the local pools that are only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day! Crazy! My kids are used to swimming several times a week and sadly we haven't really been at all since moving here. Well, to partly remedy that Grammy bought us a little splash pool. The kids LOVE it - and I love that it gives them an outlet for all of their energy,

Linvilla Orchards
On a spur of the moment Saturday activity we decided to visit the Linvilla Orchards to pick some raspberries! We didn't quite know what to expect, but it was great! The kids had a blast picking/eating raspberries. We definitely plan on going again...I am in desperate need of GOOD peaches.
Thanks to some great friends in the ward we have been given a list of must-do adventures here in Delaware. We can't wait to explore and try out more fun places!
Luke was too funny...I would throw a handful of raspberries in his container and tell him to pick some more, but he would eat all of them and look at me and say 'all gone?!'
Even Mika joined in on the eating fun!
In addition to their 'pick your own' area (which is acres and acres of crops: corn, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, cherries, peaches and much more) they have a market area, a greenhouse where you can buy any kind of tree/plant/flower, a concession stand, and a kids play area. Our kids of course wanted to ride the ponies.
Our spoils!

Rainy Days
The weather here has been less than cooperative...lots of rainy days and thunder storms! So, what are you to do? Well, if you have an awesome garage you PLAY in it!
This also happened to be Father's Day! Justin is such a great dad - I couldn't have asked for a better father for my children. My kids LOVE playing with their dad and I can honestly say he LOVES playing with them too! With the whole moving and starting a new job we didn't do much to celebrate. The kids and I made him a cute card with their handprints, cooked him his favorite dinner of tacos, and of course the kids wanted to make him a cake and sing him a wonderful rendition of Happy Father's Day (changing the words to Happy Birthday) complete with a candle! Happy Father's Day to all of the great dads out there - mine too! Love YOU!

Washington D.C. ZOO
On another adventure we took the kids to the Washington D.C. Zoo. It's a pretty cool zoo located in the city - and it's FREE! After paying for parking of course!
We met up with Nana, Auntie Reiko, Uncle Bub, Ari and my cousins Becky and Kevin and their little one Kyra. I wasn't very good with the camera...I only took pics at the splash pad.

This one is for Nana (and Auntie Janet) can you spot all 5 kiddos?

DELAWARE!
We made it!!! We are now officially residents of Delaware! It took the kids a little while to figure out this was our NEW house and we are not going back to Florida. It was pretty funny when after a few weeks Taija asked us when we would be going back to Florida, poor girl was missing her friends! We are still getting used to the area - I literally NEVER know which direction I am traveling in - the streets do not run north/south and east/west. They tend to curve whenever they feel like it!!! It's okay though - GPS is my new best friend! Seriously wouldn't be able to find anything without it.
We managed to squeeze in a few adventures before Justin started his new job as a Pediatric RESIDENT! Although I am ashamed to admit no pics were taken.
There are several parks close by and we make good use of them! The park just down the street has bunnies! The kids LOVE it!

We were able to meet up with my sister and Ari a few times. We met them in Baltimore to take advantgae of my sister's cool pass to the Children's Museum. Before they got there we explored the bay area.
Luke and Ari exploring
Mika mainly hung out in the infant area with Justin
Thanks Reiko and Ari for the awesome playdate!
