Preschool Party

Once a week Taija and two of her friends get together for our little preschool. A couple of weeks ago we had a Christmas themed day...the kids were able to dress up and act out the Nativity. Taija was a shepherd (cutest shepherd ever if you ask me), Ellie was an angel, and Ella was Mary. Due to short attention spans it didn't last too long, but the important stuff was mentioned!

SANTA

We have met such wonderful friends while here in South Florida - we were able to get together with our friends from med school (the boys are the only LDS members in their year of med school) for a FUN night of Christmas celebration. Good food, good company and a SPECIAL guest. We weren't sure how Taija would do with Santa, as previous attempts have all resulted in an absolute tantrum. BUT she LOVED it! At first she panicked and ran right to her daddy to hold, but once she warmed up she even sat on Santa's lap! Thanks for the gifts Santa!

DANCE!

Taija had her first dance recital and I couldn't be more proud of my little dancer! She was so CUTE and did such an amazing job! The quality of picture/video isn't the greatest, but you get the idea!





*Don't mind the fact that Justin zoomed in on the wrong girl to begin with...Taija has a pink top with a black bow and black tights. I was really amazed at how well she did, especially considering she was in the middle and the instructors were on the outside leading the dance!*

Yes my kids are wearing shorts with a long-sleeve shirt...it's 80 outside, but the only Christmas shirts they sell are long-sleeve!

Grammy came to visit for a few days (squeezed us in during her business trip, but don't worry she is coming back for Christmas with Pa)

THANKSGIVING

This Thanksgiving we decided we would quickly put together our food in the morning...then head to the BEACH! We had a BLAST! There were not too many people there at 9 in the morning, but it was PERFECT beach weather. The water was a bit chilly, but considering it was still warmer than any reservoir in UT we won't complain. The kids LOVED it. Luke was ALL about the sand, as long as he had a shovel (or two) he was happy playing. Taija is such a FISH, she was content to stand in the water with daddy splashin around. I think this might become a new tradition on Thanksgiving...at least while we are in Florida!

My Cute KIDS

About a month ago our wonderful friend and photographer (Katrina) took some pics of my kiddos. She did such an awesome job considering Luke was being an absolute pill and wouldn't sit still for even a minute. And since I couldn't just pick a few to post I decided to post ALL of them! Enjoy!

YO HO HO

This year for Halloween Luke and Taija were PIRATES! The first few pictures are from our preschool party...thanks to Katrina for taking such FUN pictures!




On Halloween we were invited to a birthday party for Taija's friend Madi...it was so much FUN! We ate pizza, played games, sang the birthday song, ate some cake and then went Trick-or-Treating! It was Taija's first time doing the whole door to door way! She LOVED it!

Birthday Suit

Luke got a new suit for his birthday! He is such a handsome boy...don't mind the open collar (we couldn't button it up without pinching his little neck)! It's an 18 month and pretty much fits him perfectly!

EXCITING NEWS

So many exciting things to blog about today...



First of all, my baby is 1! I can't believe it's been an entire year! Luke is such a wonderful baby, or should I say toddler now!? He has been walking for the past month now and won't even crawl anymore. Loves to eat whatever it is that we are eating...in fact he gets quite upset when we try to feed him something different. Luke loves to chase Taija around and is constantly trying to keep up. Just watch out when he catches her because he grabs on tight!! It is so funny to watch him at grocery stores and other fun places because he is such a people watcher. He will literally stare as the person walks by, but won't crack even a little smile when that person smiles and 'baby talks' to him...the little stinker! Luke is a daddy's boy when it comes to playtime, but if he is at all tired/ornery it has to be his mommy. I love having a little boy and Luke is definitely ALL BOY! He has a pretty good idea when he is doing something he shouldn't be and he just waits to make sure we are watching then will smile and keep doing it! He keeps me on my toes, but I wouldn't trade him for the world. Love you Luke-son!

Next exciting bit of news is that we had an ultrasound today for Baby #3! And....it's a GIRL! We were kind of hoping for a boy since the closeness in age to Luke, but we can't be more excited for a little girl. We haven't finalized the name choice, but are thinking about Lily Kate Robison. Funny story...while we were getting the ultrasound Taija (both kids were with us since Luke had his dr. appt too, BIG mistake as both kids were MONSTERS) was telling the lady that this was baby Jack and so we told her it was going to be Baby Lily and she looks at me, thinks for a minute, then asks "it's Silly Lily?" So, we might be changing names...

My LITTLE walker

Luke has really taken off these last few weeks with his walking ability...he has pretty much given up crawling and will pull himself up to a standing position whenever possible. These videos are from a few days ago and his balance has become even better since then!

Swimming Lessons

Thanks to the generosity of Mama (Justin's grandma) we put Taija in to some awesome swim lessons...she LOVES them. They also have a parent-tot class (the first week Luke's Auntie Kate took him) at the same time for Luke.

LUKE

This is a post about my little man! Luke got a train for his birthday...both him and Taija LOVE it!

It's Official...

Well, for those of you who don't already know...we are expecting! Baby #3 is scheduled to arrive in late March of 2012. We are hoping to find out whether it will be a he or she in just over a week! We are very excited and a bit overwhelmed.

Yay for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! We had Taija and Luke's birthday party yesterday and if I do say so myself it was TERRIFIC! It was held at the Robison Clubhouse and Taija's good buddies were able to come.

Group pictures are always an adventure, there were 8 kids including my 2, but as you can see not all made it in...

Taija is 3!

Three years ago yesterday I became a MOM! It is crazy to think it has already been 3 years, but at the same time it feels like I have been doing this forever! Motherhood is so much harder than I could have ever imagined, but I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Taija is such a fun, energetic, mischievous, kind, happy child. It is so funny to watch her different moods, but watch out if she is ever woken up from her nap/bedtime. All I can say is she is worse than her father (although maybe not, I hear he was a pill to deal with too)! Taija is ALWAYS on the go...I don't think this child sits still for a minute. She still loves to play with her baby dolls and is quite the little mother. She likes to play with Luke, but only on her terms (which can create WWIII in my home at times as Luke is starting to have his own opinions that are very different from his sister's). Taija loves her special time with Daddy; workbook with special crayons, bike rides, tower building, etc. She is still Mommy's little girl and loves to help 'cook' but only cookies, cakes, and other fun things to eat.
I am sure if anyone saw her with her shirt off I would be turned in to child services. This kid is SKINNY! Taija wears 3T shirts, but is still in 2T shorts as any bigger falls right off her little bottom! Somehow she has more energy than any other little girl I know. She is currently taking a dance class twice a week and absolutely LOVES it! If you ever get the chance ask her to dance for you...it is HILARIOUS! Taija is quite the talker now and once she warms up to you she won't STOP talking. Whether it's telling you a story, what she did yesterday, or her trip to New York she usually has some pretty funny actions to accompany her talking.
TAIJA - you are such a joy in my life and I am proud to be your mother. At times you frustrate me as I know how smart you are and how much you understand, but pretend not to (I am sure this will be a sore point for years to come). I love when you play with your little brother and what a great big sister you are. Thanks for being a part of my family...I LOVE YOU MY LITTLE GOOSE!
