Halloween 2013

Halloween was a week long event this year!  Well, longer if you count the many days the kiddos were in costume.  It all officially started with the ward Trunk or Treat on Saturday evening.  The kids were so excited!  Taija had decided to be Snow White at this party and I wanted to dissuade her so that we could all be in 'theme' but realized that was an awful thing to do!  So Taija was a BEAUTIFUL Snow White.  Luke was Spiderman.  And Mika was Wondergirl.  And being the most amazing mom that I am I totally wasn't prepared for the event to be so COLD!  Mika was in sandals!  Worst mom award right here!  We made it through the event with all toes and fingers in tact.  The kids LOVED being a part of the parade.  Not to mention the CANDY.  Here are the pics (some stolen from our good friend the Itri's).

Next up was Tajia's Halloween Parade at school.  Pa even came in town to celebrate this FUN holiday.  Taija was so excited to be bat girl.  It was too funny because she kept explaining to Luke how the parade was going to work and of course Luke would just drink it all up!

Halloween evening finally came and the kids were in heaven!  We were so kindly invited to a friend's house to trick-or-treat, enjoy treats, roast marshmallows around the bonfire, and enjoy some amazing company.  The kids hit the ground running...literally.  The neighborhood was absolutely PERFECT.  Friendly neighbors, beautifully decorated homes, lots of trick-or-treators out and about.  The kids (and the adults) had a BLAST.  Special thanks to the Bird Family for hosting such an awesome event.
