My Karate Kid!

At the beginning of Summer we decided to put Luke in karate...there were several reasons why we chose Karate.  One - Luke could use some help with focus and taking instructions.  Two - this was to be Luke's SPECIAL thing.  Three - aren't one and two enough?? ;) 

So, after trying out a couple of places we found Gentle Palm Martial Arts.  I'm not going to pretend that Luke ALWAYS loves to go.  It is definitely a challenge and some days Luke whines the ENTIRE time, but we are seeing some progress little by little.  Master Berry and the other instructors are GREAT with Luke - always encouraging him in front of the group, but requiring him to actually do the WORK.  A couple of weeks ago Luke was even up for a Belt Promotion.  He had to pass off ALL the steps and listen to the instructions.  Given Luke's attention span he has done an AWESOME job.
